Mountain Bikes

Mountain bikes are items that are not always easy to buy. If you are a beginning mountain biker, it can be difficult to know which bikes are best equipped for you to use.

• Most decent mountain bikes will be lightweight. They should also be responsive and easy to handle on trails.

• Visit the local bike shop and ask their advice about what kind of bikes they suggest for a beginner.

• Some mountain bikes can cost thousands of dollars. Others can be bought for less than $500. Know your budget before shopping.

• Try it out. Ask your friends if they are happy with their mountain bikes. If they are happy, you might ask them to try it out. This could be a good way to figure out what feels good to you. Most bike shops have no problem letting bikes go out for a demo ride. You will be asked to leave something such as a driver license to ensure you return to the shop with their merchandise.
